Jim and Janette Yule started Lindfield Motors in 1974, choosing a site just a short drive from the busy Haywards Heath area. Jim had previously worked for Formula One teams. When he left college, Jim’s son Alan joined the business and for several years also ran a Formula Ford race team from the premises. Now the garage is run by Alan and his wife Nicola. Alan’s ability to understand and set up race cars has led to the garage attracting a wide client base of sports and prestige cars.
